Can a 1605r router with a T1 csu/dsu be use with DSL/Cable?

No, The T1 CSU/DSU can only be used with a T1 line.

you need a router with two etherneyt interfaces to make it work

Good point. As routergod so correctly states (thanks Don) the 1605 has 2 e ports. you would connect the cable/dsl modem to one and your lan to the other. need more help with the configs let me know.
