Hi Guys,

Does anyone have a list of ports used by the 1600 handsets to communicate with the Avaya IP Office? I can only find them when communicating with the Avaya Aura Communication Manager.

We have a remote 1616 handset working through a VPN. The handset is constantly rebooting and going round in a loop. It boots but there is no dial tone. About 30 seconds later the IP Office de-registers the extension (reason 3) and issues a command to reboot the handset. I think the ports for the Audio communication are blocked. The IP Office realizes this and so de-registers the handset and reboots it.

Many Thanks

Bob

h323 uses ports 1719 & 1720 for communictaion & call setup
Voice packets are transmitted on ports 41952 upward to 53247

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Turn off H323 ALG on both VPN routers
