1600 compatibility problem with wescom d4 channel bank

we use the wescom d4 channel bank to hand off 56k ckts to our customers.we can run error free using an adtran csu/dsu but the minute we interface the ciso 1600 e/w internal csu/dsu the ckt will crash or run errors.has anyone else run into this? the customer site is only 400 feet from our central office
