We have a Windows Nt Server and Windows 2000 Profesional workstations.

When I try to open a DOS DataSharing program that we use all the time, I receive the following error.

____________________________________________________________
16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem

\\NTSERVER\Jeff\ADS.pif
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close to terminate the application.

Close Ignore

Any ideas as to what the problem is would be greatly appreciated.

The quick way:

Browse to "%windir%/repair/" (usually "C:\WINDOWS\repair")
Right-Click and Copy the AUTOEXEC.NT file
Browse to "%windir%/system32/" (usually "C:\WINNT\System32")
Right-Click inside the window and Paste the file
