I'm trying to set up a new user. His name appears inthe pull down list in the add login wizard in Enterprise Manager and I selct it and select the databases he is to have access to. When I try to add him as a user, I get a 15401 error, saying "Windows NT user or group '%s' not found. Check the name again."
But he is in the NT group and in fact has the same network accesses that I do. Anyone have an idea how to resolve this issue, so I can set up this person?

If possible ... do not use the drop down and just type his name EXACTLY as he is set up under his NT account. By exactly, I mean in the exact case in which the NT account is set. You may be running into an issue of SQL Server being installed with a case-sensitive Unicode collating sequence.

Thanks

OK tried that it didn't work. Anyway I know this server is set up to be case insensitive. But it was a good suggestion, probably would work in another case. Any other ideas.
