$1500 Solaris Certification Fee

Help, I'm qualified for financial aid (Credit Approval) of a $1500 to be Solaris Certified. I'm not rushing to be certified nor am I incapable of self-study courses. My problem is not knowing what study resources (books, cds) I should be buying. I realize that there are alot of online
links or less expensive tutorials somewhere out there
but I'm not sure how useful, helpful, or effective they'll be in comparison to paying $1500 of sure Solaris
Certification that comes with 24/7 of professional support.
Hmmm, I'm tempted to go thru it but don't want to make
the mistake of taking up that loan.

I would go with purchasing a small Ultra 5 or Ultra 10 to start with the hands on learning.

Then I would go to Borders or Barnes and Noble and buy some books on Solaris Administration.
