just wondering if anyone has seen or had this problem? I have 1416 phones that are set to use the 2nd ring tone. I have a hunt group set up with "ring tone over ride" as normal ring..... tried to get different rings on external vs. internal. it works great, but if I make a programming change that requires a reboot, the 1416 phones come back up using the 1st ring tone. I then have to go back to all the phones to program them to use the 2nd ring tone again.

I hope this makes sense.... could this be a software bug in 9.0.5?

Unless you have specified a specific default ringtone in the 46xx/16xsettings file then it is default behaviour for the ringtone to return to 1 after the system has rebooted.

I understand changing the settings in those files for the IP phones, but is it the same for the digital phones?

The usershould have a new sourcenumber : Code = *DCP Phonenumber = 40000000,0,1,1,0 Action = Dial Linegroup ID = 0

the user does not have the new source number. do I need to add that so it will always ring like that even after a reboot?

thanks for the reply....

Intrigrant!!!!! you are the man! that worked great.... even after a reboot! Star for you!!

FYI.... I used the code *DCP Phonenumber = 40000000,0,1,1,0

thanks again!

Is there a description about the available DCP source numbers?
