Can Avaya one-X be set up on a 1416 Digital Phone?
My understanding Avaya one-X works with an IP Phone.

Can EC500 be set up on a 1416 Digital Phone?

One-X Communicator would need an IP station, either h.323 or SIP. So Digital phones are out.

You should be able to configure EC500 for the station and put an EC500 button on the phone if the user wants to turn the feature on or off.

I disagree. H323 one-x can take over a digital station. Notice how digital stations have the IP Softphone and IP Video options on page 1 of the station form.

It applies in the sense that you can use something like One-X communicator or Agent and use computer audio to handle the call. I've used One-X Agent for a bunch of 6416 phones before in call centers.

You set it on the station screen, it's called "security code".
