I got a new ip500 v2 6.0(8) with the receptionist having a 1416 and a single dbm32 dss console. When you press transfer and then a dss button for a user, the call does not complete the transfer even if you press transfer again. after you try the transfer, the dss locks up and you have to reset the phone for it to work again. I called tech support and they seem to think it maybe a bug in 6.0 (8) and recommended an upgrade to 6.0 (18). Has anybody else had a problem with the dss consoles? also I have to unplug and reset the dss everytime I reboot the system when doing programming changes. What gives? I will be doing the upgrade tonight, but just worndering if this problem is new to me or an ongoing issue with other systems.

1st thing is 1st, get your 500v2 upgraded ASAP. Known issues with 6.0(8) will make it default the config after a reboot/power down. Check that you have a copy of the config and check the size of theconfig file on the SD card. Read the Tech Bulletin for 6.0(18).

I would look at it after that. You'll need to upgrade to escalate with Avaya anyway.

I installed two last week on 6.1 with no issues at all. I didn't put any out on 6.0.

Thanks for the info. I should know better then to install something without it being upgraded first! I hope it fixes the problem.

is this a new site??? might be worth going to 6.1. you can without license if the kit is under 90 days old

per tech bulletin 121, you need to be at 6.0.14 minimum before a dbm32 is supported on a 1416.

And you need an 1151 power supply for it.

So go to 6.1.5 if it's free (90 days) or 6.0.18 if it's not.
