1306 Unable to connect to the Tape Engine. (EC=1722)

Running on Windows 2003, we run Arcserve 11.0.

After a restart of the 3 engines, the tapeengine is the only one with an error. Im not a ArcServe Expert and have good experience with tek-tips.

THE ERROR:

Error 1306

1306 Unable to connect to the Tape Engine. (EC=tape_error_code)

Module:

Job Engine

Explanation:

The JOBENG.EXE module was unable to connect to the Tape Engine.

Cause/Solution:
Check the tape_error_code.

 
Check for errors in the tape log, and look for exception logs excptnXX.log. The presence of the exception logs is an indication that the Tape Engine crashed. If that is the case I'd say either uninstall/restart/reinstall or open an issue with CA. If it is anything other than a crash then put the Tape and Job Engines in debug, reproduce the problem, then ck the logs.
