1250 Console Transfer

I have a 1250 console. When transferring calls cannot hear ringing or called part?
When making calls on trunks can hear ringing and called party.
Is this console defective?

When you transfer a call to an extension and get only silence, it means the extension is in use and you are camping on.

Camping on is an inherent capability on the console. It's like call waiting.
