I have a little dilema that I'm hoping someone can help me with...

The president of our company uses 123 (ver 9.8), only because he has to. On a monthly basis, he receives spreadsheets from our sister companies in Brazil and Mexico, both of whom are using the 'Millenium edition release 9.5'. More often than not, whenever he attempts to use the files sent, his machine will crash, giving him a blue screen (that only appears for about 2 seconds), and then his laptop will re-boot. The weird thing is, the crashes DO NOT happen instantaneously! They can occur even 10 - 20 minutes AFTER he has opened the file!! These crashes can occur if 123 is the only application running when the file was opened, or if there are other applications opened previously... It has gotten to the point where he just sends the file(s) to his secretary for her to print out (she has no problems with them)...

He is running Windows XP on an IBM Thinkpad. I have uninstalled SmartSuite and then re-installed it to see if this would solve the problem. It hasn't...

Microsoft's response to this problem is that a device driver is the cause. However, there is nothing new or out of the ordinary compared to what we install on other pc's...

Has anybody ever head of this happening before? Anybody have any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks in advance!
