Hi,

Checking the release notes for the firmware supplied with my new 1120 (C8L) it clearly states that my PEC NTYS03AFE6 requires a minimum software of UNIStim 3.4 (0624C6T)

My test system is a fresh install of 4.50W/4.50.88 and it came with C1B on it. This was updated to C6T. The new 1120 still refuses to connect giving ‘Incompatible FW Blocked’ despite having C6T on it. I have tried updating to UNIStim 4 (C7F) with the same results. I can connect older 1120’s to it no problem.

A similar post here suggested disabling FW policy so I have also tried that with no success.

Has anyone managed to get current models to register to an older system? I do not want to update the FW on the production system at the moment because it is a mixed main/branch/SRG installation with versions of software ranging from 5.5 down to 4.5 (I know that’s not good, but that’s how it is at the moment)

Here are some SS captures of what is going on.

Thanks for your time.

The devil is in the detail as they say...

My PEC NTYS03AFE6 would work if only it were hardware release 01 but being release 15 (what the heck happened to 2 - 14?) as you say requires C8L

Thanks a lot Avaya.

Cheers gwebster for the clarification

Just an update for you.

VO patch MPLR23154 applied to sig server and the 1120 on C8L now connects and functions fine.

Not a long term solution but it will get things moving for now.

Why this is VO and not general availability I don't know.

Thanks.

Hi Norlee,
We're having a similar issue on new Avaya phones we're trying to dispatch. Per our VoIP consultant, our company does not have an Avaya PASS contract. Can we still apply patch MPLR23154 even on this case ?
