Hi,

I have an extra power supply left over from a Cisco IP phone, that does power up my 11xx/12xx phones. I want to make sure that it is an acceptable power source before I use the power supply permanently.

Its a

Input: 100-240V-500mA 50-60Hz
Output: 48V---200 mA LPS

Says it is "for use with information technology" equipment.

Does anyone know if this acceptable for the 11xx/12xx phones?

Thank you,

The specs say the output should be 48VDC, 500mA for the 1100 series phone
The Cisco power supply looks like it only supplies a max of 200mA. Does the power supply get hot if left plugged into the 1100 series phone for a few minutes? If not it's probably OK to use.

Thanks Brian,

I'll try it out and monitor the situation.

I am also thinking of just buying the power supply as they are pretty in expensive.

Does the Nortel 48VDC, 500mA work on the 12xx series phones as well?

Thank you!
