We have recently had quite a few 1140 phones crash (unbootable) at our remote site - go into blue/red flashing.
So my question is if anyone knows if there was a bad batch of 1100 series phones a few years ago? Pretty sure ours won't be covered under any 'warranty' but it sucks that they are failing in batches now.
We have our PoE network devices on UPSs and this site was prone to brown outs previously, but I don't think that is the issue. We will have a few phones fail every week or so it seems (at least recently).
Kinda seems like the 'hidden recall' hookswitch bad batches of i2002 phones that we got back in 2005 or so. Eventually our vendor fessed up to it (had document from Nortel) since they were eventually replacing 6 or more phones every week or so!!
Seems like the Toyota recall story to me!
