Hey Guys,

I apologize in advance as I am a noob and just configuring a BCM50 system for my house.

I picked up an 1140e with a KEM module. I configured the IP settings of the phone and it connected to my system.

From Elements manager I can program the phone.

The KEM lights up when the phone does. The KEM turns on the backlighting when the back lighting is off, by pressing a button.

But on feature *0 - none of the buttons seem to function. If I use the Feature *1 to program a button, none of the buttons on the KEM respond.

Am I missing someway to install/activate the KEM ?

Running a BCM50e, Vers 2, with a DSM32

Thanks,

Dave

There is an association setting for the kem to the set - sorry I can't tell you exactly where with out looking at Element Manager.

Went to element manager - Found CAP Assignment under Telephony/Global Settings/Cap Assignment -

Associated the CAP to the DN

First time it came back as CAP #3 - But then after I hit refresh it was CAp #1

But still no functionality on the KEM unit

Look under active sets>capabilities> See if the cap/kim button programming comes up for that set.

Support for the 1100 KEM was added in the 3.0 release of the software. Unfortunately it won't work with 2.0 (I picked up a KEM that was included with an 1140e and had the same issue)

Cap is to assign line appearances to the kem module
