1140E volume/tone issue?

we have a BCM50 and we have a bunch of 1140E ip phones. we we do a voice call to those phones, the buzzer is incredibly loud. does anyone know how to lower this or even turn it off?

since its a voice call, you dont see it coming, and its extremely loud and causing some issues
 
Have you loaded the latest SU for the BCM 50 to make sure you have latest patches and 1140E firmware?
 
i believe we are all up to date... do you have a reference to the specific patch?

not all the 1140E's in our office have this issue, just a few of them. the manuals on nortels site show an option for buzzer volume under services, but when i hit services i dont get the menu options the manual lists.... i just get a list of feature functions(i.e. call park, call pickup, etc)
 
That is for when the phone is connected to a PBX. Is the setting for the system features for the phone voulme set for system or set. Put it to set. The tone uses the voulme that the set is at. Turn it down.
