I have an install with all 1140e sets. IP office is the latest 9.0 version.

Problem is that I'm trying to put line buttons (Line 1 / Line 2 etc) on the
sets, and they will not appear nor work. The customer has analog lines.

Do the 1140e sets support the appearance of Lines on them. I've determined that
you can't put additional "intercom" buttons on these sets as those buttons don't
appear nor function.
Is this yet another Avaya oversite?

LIGHT TRAVELS FASTER THAN SOUND, WHICH IS WHY SOME PEOPLE APPEAR BRIGHT UNTIL YOU HEAR THEM SPEAK.

Next time your in Manager press F1, the help lists all the button features and for each features, which phones support the feature.

And yes its a no, the 1100/1200 Series phones don't support Line Appearance buttons.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

The oversite (actually oversight) is yours, you completely neglected to read the documentation pertaining to the use of those handsets on IP Office and what features they support. There are also a few threads already in here covering how limited they are, basically they are barely supported, and effectively Avaya were just ticking a box :)
