Hi All,
Is there a way to change the "color*set" password on the 1140/1150 sets?

Thanks for the help

Yes. The password can be set using tftp/http config files. Grab a current copy of the "IP Deskphone Fundamentals" NTP and look for "menupwd".

By the way, when you update the password make sure you use the numbers that corespond to the "Password"; if you put the actuall password in the tftp file then you will have to enter the alpha numberic password using the telephone key pad. For instance the default password isn't really "color*set" it is "26567*738". If you make the password "test" you would have to hit 8 once for "t", hit 3 twice for "e", hit 7 four times for "s", and 8 once again for "t". However if you enter test as "8378" then you can enter it that way on the phone.
