Hello
Does anyone encountered that problem after a firmware upgrade on 1140 from C1B to C39: By pressing the 4 keys under the display at startup for entering in the setup menu the set ask for a "admin password".

What is this password?

Feedback welcome

Someone/body turn on pwd admin on the IP set. this is to prevent people from changing their TNs and something else...its been awhile...sorry couldn't be much more help.

Whoever turned on the feature, set the pwd

This is the "Local Tools Menu Password Protection" which is designed to block people from accidentally changing the configuration of their phone. Have a look at the IP Phones NTP (latest version is 20.00).

C39 on an 1140E on my desk. The "Enter Admin. Password:" when you hit the 4 softkeys on startup is coming from the "Local Tools Menu Password Protection" capability. Look at the IP Phones NTP.

Thanks gwebster
Found the password in page 556 of the IP Phones doc rls 20.00
