Can someone help me out here. I've never used Mitel before, but am trying to figure out what all this jazz connected to our PMS does since we are trying to reinstall it. It looks like we have an 1103 Dataset connected to a digital extension on our SX-200.

Also, it looks like we have a Xion Prophet H3 connected to the SMDR port which then goes into our PMS as well.

Aren't the 1103 and SMDR on in the same that they are just for caputuring call data? How would the PMS be talking to the express messaging system? Is that another cord or port that's randomly missing?

the 1103 will be the connection to the PMS from the Mitel switch, it will give the room information such as check in, check out and name. The SMDR will go to a call accounting system which inturn will connect to the PMS system to cost the calls that are made from the room. Therefore the PMS system gets the time the guest was checked in for room charges and the calls the guest made to apply to the guests bill. The Express Mail must connect to the PMS via the connector on the from of the Express card using Hyatt Encore or His protocol.
