Hello

I have a 1103 dataset connected to a digital port of an SX200 phone system. Currently the dataset connects to a SUMA PRO and that connects to the PMS. If I can just send the smdr data directly to the PMS I can remove the SUMA PRO. The PMS will do the call costing directly. Is it possible to get the smdr data directly from the 1103 dataset?

Thanks

short answer is yes. the output is standard RS232. Look in your dataset cnfg to determine the baud rate, parity etc. change as required to send directly to PMS port.

Thanks for the info. I tried hooking my laptop up to the 1103 and was running Hyperterminal to see if I have data comming through. Did not see anything. Checked the setting in the phone system and it was set at 300 Baud 8-n-1 XON/XOFF. Had my laptop set the same and I got nothing. Any ideas?

assuming nothing, you programmed the smdr options in form 11 the 1103 itself in 12 and directed smdr to the 1103 in form 34

also keep in mind there is no data from smdr until you make a call and disconnect. the smdr record is sent on hang-up

With the XON/XOFF enabled you should try to send a Ctrl-Q To Restart

what I do in these cases is in form 34 which I program as standard cde print to the 1103 in this case and then go into form 32 and print say form 1, this eliminates any smdr programming and you are not troubleshooting two problems.

Thanks everyone. Ive got it up and running. All your information was a great help.
