Does anyone know if a rack mount 110 (patch panel style) termination on the back that goes to a amphenol connection on the front (male or female or both) exists

Yes it does exist. check out Leviton website or Greybar. We use them in a Voip setup to connect to a Rhino box to convert digital to analog for analog lines that a hotel/casino resort needs.

To error is human.....if the machine doesnt work, then KICK IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been working with Graybar to find such a device and we shot through the gambit of products.

Leviton,Ortronics,Hubbell, even Allentel.

We can't find anything.

Do you have a part no.

Look about halfway down and you'll see something called "ICC Telco 24 Port Patch Panel". The item number is ICMPP024T4. It provides twenty four 4-conductor modular jacks in the front with an amphenol interface on the backside.

Is that the kind of thing you are looking for?

No.
We have seen those but what I need is different.
Think of a normal 24 port patch panel. 110 on the back side and instead of having 24 ports in ht e front of the panel replace that with a male or female amphenol connector.

Use a 100-pr 110 block, with C-4 clips, and a 25-pair Amphenol ended cable. Terminate one pair every 4 positions, and snap on the C-4's.

I thought of that but I can't with the configuration of space that I have. Plus I need to be able to disconnect from the panel this is why I need it to have a amp connection at the panel.

Nice try though

It used to be a lot easier to find stuff like that...but those were different days.

Anyway, I've got a crazy idea: How horrible would it be to use the patch panel I suggested, but instead turn it around so that the amphenol faces forward like you need? I know that terminating on RJ heads is a PITA compared to a 110 comb, but it might work for you.

sgorges,

Take a look at the Siemon Co catalogue page 10.11, 2004 edition S110 connecting Block system. It shows two different 19" rack mount styles.

Also take a look at this URL:

Now this URL only shows one style with the Amphenol/Cinch connector on the side. (See the note under the picture). The catalogue shows the other style. You might call Siemon Co's tech support and have them send you a PDF or equivalent of the page, and ask questions. From what is shown in the catalogue, they make then in 100, 200, and 300 pair configurations.

Maybe this is what you are looking for?

Found my solution.
If anyone wants to know. There is a company called Semtron. If they don't carry it they will make it for you custom.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions
