I have a BCM 400 4.0 software tied with VOIP MCDN to a BCM50 2.0 software. The latency is high 105ms. Any recommendations to tweak the buffer & codec settings.

thanks,
Mike Science

105ms is still under the 150ms threshold for acceptable calls. You shouldn't need to play with any settings.

If you are concerned, use a small buffer and g.711 codec.

Which Codec are you using?

Which payload size? (before playing with the settings, take a note of the used setting as QoS might drop.)

105 is OK but don't forget the actual compression decompression adds latency. I use 50ms as a SWAG for how much delay to add on a ping.
