1001 RP drive replacement / rebuild

Trying to replace a dead drive at scsi 1 / 5, found drive that will come on line but when trying to rebuild the dac960 raid software comes back and says wrong device. Using the documentation that I have from Nortel it says to click on the drive you have replaced. But the example shows drives 0 thru 2 in the the DAC 960 docs.Has anybody replaced a drive while system is online.
