I'm curious if other people have had problems upgrading their 1000s to 1000e. I have had two sites upgraded in the last six months and both of them went horribly wrong. I used two different vendors and had the same experience with both. I couldn't call from set to set, inbound calls would ring and flash and you couldn't pick them up. I had to revert back on one site to 4.0 because the problems were so severe.

We reverted back also. Seems we had a bad Gateway card . . and Nortel knew about it but still shipped it. Once it had an IP addy we couldn't change it or do anything and then we kept getting conflict errors!

as usual, nortel does not have this as a known problem on their site

I got questions, were you guys upgrading to 5.0 on Option 11C (NTAK11 Cabinet)replacing MGC card with NTDW60ABE5 the new CPU all ethernet connections?

Background:
Nortel is placing all Upgrades and Installs on Hold for Meridian 1 PBX 11C, Cabinet CS 1000M Cabinet (NTAK11) to
release 5.0W where the SSC Card (NTDK20) is being replaced with a CPPM (NTDW61) Processor Card and a MGC
card (NTDW60) or being newly installed.
Nortel is currently investigating an issue that can result in DTA002 events along with Noise and Clicking that is being
experienced when the system has the CPPM and MGC card installed at 5.00W .
This affects only the Option 11 Cabinet based systems with CPPM/MGC IP enabled.
This does not apply to Option 11 Cabinet based TDM systems on 5.0W.
Analysis:
Testing has determined that the MGC card causes noise on the back plane due to clock loading.

We got a New part number (NTDW60BBE5) which should fix the issue.

My first one had issues and the next two went fine. The biggest issue I had was the TN conversion and a few missing patches but once I got through that it was pretty straight forward.

We had two upgrades with the problem. Allof the MGC shipped after Dec 21 are suppose to be alright. We went ahead and sent all of our Cards back including 1000e that wer going to be installed to lay it say.

Has anyone had a problems upgrading 81 or 61 to 5.0 with the card cages. We received two cages with smashed pins
