Anyone have a diagram of how the DS256 cable to the 1000e expansion is pinned out? Thank you I lost it and I can't wait to order a new one.

Straight through CAT 5 is the pinout. Needs to be exactly 5 meters long otherwise the timing can go screwy. I believe the factory cable is shielded also to provide the signal ground between the main cabinet and the expansion.

I tried that and it didn't work. I tested the cable and that tested good. I was told at one time that it has a different pinout. It is 5 meters long as well.

When I hold the end's of the cable together they are wired the same, so I think that is a straight though cable.

THat is correct, and I made another cable at 16.4' and it worked, then I put the original one I made that was 16' even and it worked so who knows. Thanks for the postings.
