I have a problem with our fax machines on our CS1000E. Whenever I am sending faxes it will handshake with the far end then fail. I can try this a few times and it will eventually transmit. The calls go from the 1000E to a 1000T and break out to the pstn there. It is a rls 4.50 system.

It has been suggested that this is a common problem and the solution would be to upgrade to CS1000E rls 5 and convert the 1000T to an IPMG?

Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

I have had this problem, and have found that making sure to use the G711 codec usually clears it up.

Fax machines do not like G729.

when selecting your codecs there should be a part for fax support(T38/35), do you have CLS FAXA on those falc ports? & yes rls 5 does clear some of those issues up but has its own problems.

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder
