Hi all

Can anyone shed some light on 1000base-ZX? Is this an official IEEE standard (if so, which one), or some kind of proprietary implementation by Cisco? I suppose zx is newer than 1000base-Lx or Sx or Tx.

Thanks.

I have seen no standards beyond LX but Nortel offers XD (50 km) and ZX (70 km) modules, Cisco claims 100 km for it's ZX modules

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
