1000 DID range

Hi,

I have a customer that has received a DID range of 1000-1099. They want the extension to match that range. Am I going to encounter any other problems? Is there a way to change the general and system admin mailbox number? Thanks for the help.

You cannot change the General Delivery or the System Admin mailbox number. You can assign MB 1000 to the receptionist which is normal and assign 1002 to someone who will keep the password to what you set it or you can just skip 1002. We have a customer that is using the Sys Admin box and we have to reset the password everytime we need to get in if that person is not there and then they go in and change their password. You will want to avoid it if you can.

You may also need to change the name prefix in call pilot from 11 to something else. You have ahd issues before with 1xxx DID ranges and the name prefix digits causing a problem.

kgrant is correct. I have had to change the name prefix for this reason.
