Hi,

Is anyone can tell me how qmail proceed when it has for example 100 mails in the queue for a mail server that doesn't responds ?

Does it try a connection for all mails or after trying for one it skip all others waiting for a later delivery ?

I believe each distinct email is tried when it's attempt cycle is due, irrespective of previous "history" trying to reach a destination domain.

Keep in mind that the emails will expire after the configured period you control for queue lifetime.

The web has plenty of examples how to accelerate/expire messages in queue if you wish to do so.

Generally this condition doesn't cause a problem since it's part of the design for an MTA like qmail.
