thread923-1292539
Was anyone able to figure out what fixed the issue in the above referenced thread? I have an Octel 350 and an Avaya PBX. We recently change our dial plan on the pBX for 10 digit extensions (with 4 digit short code dialing). At the same time, the Octel was changed to 10 digit mailboxes. Attendant Destinations with 10 digits end up with a 1 in front, just like the thread describes. CDR shows 10 digits without the 1. Outcalls to 10 digit external numbers, like cell phones and pagers work fine. CDR on outcalls shows 10 digits but Octel inserts the 9 and the 1. Attendant destinations do not insert the 9 (we don't want that anyways because the 10 digit number is and extension), but it inserts the 1. Since we have 4 digit short code dialing, all calls get routed to the same extension. For example, all of our 10 digit extension in the dial plan are 630623XXXX. If we have an attendant destination of 6306233599, CDR shows 6306233599, but the Octel sends 16306233599 and the PBX dials 1630 and the call ends up at extension 6306231630. Since we have aliased all 10 digit mailboxes with 4 digit aliases, the calls flood mailbox 6306231630.
If I change the attendant destination to 4 digits it works, but the customer does not want to modify every place in the Octel that references 10 digit attendant destinations.
Any advice to this frustrating issue?
