I need to receive 10 digit DNIS digits with a 3300 ICP...What's the best way to do this? Speed calls only allow 7 digits as do extensions on phones etc.....I'm stuck...????

Couldn't we use the trunk service assignment form to absorb some of these? IE, absorb 3 and then have 7 digit exts, or absorb 6 and have 4-digit exts. Sure would make ext-to-ext calling lots easier.

- FYI -

We had to install another trunk card...Route based on 10 digits to the trunk, performed digit modification and loop it back. We tied the trunks together with a crossover cable. Costs some money but saved us a TON over what XO wanted to charge for custom DNIS.

Thanks for the info. Now we know how to solve that for the next poor soul who comes along with something like this. I still don't think I fully understand why something like this would work and absorbing digits in the trunk service form wouldn't. I take it therefore that you're using more than just one digit mod to translate these ??

I've done similar tricks routing of calls out & back in with E&M trunks to be able to strip off all traces of callerID to make calls to certain "Ethics Violation" reporting lines appear completely anonymous when leaving voice mails.
