Trying to dial area code and number for local 10 digit dialing and keep getting a fast busy signal. Changed DIALING PLAN PUBLIC to 10 digits but it is still happening.

Is it a certain number /area code or are you having a problem with every 10 digit area code?

our local area code I can call anywhere else in the country.

You have to change your public dn length for your local area code from 3 to 10

The DEFAULT? It is changed to 10. I always do that which is why I was surprised that is was doing what it was doing. Or do I need to ADD the area code and change the lenght to 10?

What is the area code in question? You're right, changing the DEFAULT dn length from 7 to 10 usually takes care of it...
