I am trying to find clear confirmation that IP Office 10.1 allows the use of database access through server edition with no loopholes or strange patching.

Currently we are on a custom 9.1 build that allows us to use Server Edition with VM Pro on a Windows server, but we are running into issues with this and considering an upgrade to 10.1 for a couple reasons.

Thanks in advance.

Well, nice tried to ask but I think there is not a single member who has installed a 10.1 server edition and use DB connectivity with the VM Pro on linux.

Play safe and install a Windows version on a Windows PC/Server

I had heard some reports that DB connectivity actually was introduced in 10.0. If that is the case, it can be assumed that 10.1 kept it.

That is the problem : I had heard some reports that DB connectivity actually was introduced in 10.0.
From the 10.1 documentation (does anyone here actually read them?):
For Linux-based voicemail servers (IP Office Server Edition and IP Office Application Server), from Release 10.1, database interoperation is supported with external PostgreSQL and MySQL databases. However, database actions are not supported on the Unified Communications Module.

Have you read the release notes?

V10.1 release notes state that DB integration is supported (MySQL & Postgresql)

I have only just upgraded my demo to V10.1 & have not tested (yet)

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
