I have a situation where I need to allow one port in our conference room to have the ability to use our Internet connection, but not to have ANY access to our network. Currently I have the conference room outlet going into my backbone switch (the same switch everyone else uses for network resources). But we have some pretty sneaky vendors that I wouldn't put it past them to sniff out our network (or perhaps worse) when they do need the ability to share our Internet connection. Any ideas?? I'm hoping that I can upgrade my switch to one that has the ability to handle this.

Thanks!

Put the one port into a seperate V-LAN with a different IP sub-net...then only route that subnet to the internet gateway. In this fashion all traffic on the second subnet only goes out to the internet.
