i have 6 subreports that are built from command text. each one has parameters in the command text to speed the processing up. each of the sub reports have the exact same parameters.

these 6 parameters are in 1 main rpt file.

what is the best way with the fastest processing time to set up 1 set of parameters to push to each of these reports.

Also it would be really nice to have dynamic parameters, but not necessary if it can not be done.

I have tried linking the subreport to the main report but it doesnt see the fields in the subreports properly because of the command text i guess.

For this to work correctly, set up the parameters in the main report. Link one parameter to one subreport to get the correct naming convention (I think it's PM_<param name>) then delete the link. Rename the parameters in your subreports to start with "PM_" (or "PM-" - whichever is correct). Now link from the parameters in the main report to the subreports, but don't select data based on the paramters. Because the names will match up, they should be passed in correctly.

Note that parameters from commands are set up slightly differently that regular parameters, so they have to exist with the correct names in the subreports PRIOR to linking the params (without the PM prefix) from the main report.
