1 printer on 2 different servers?

I'm looking to setup a printer on 2 different servers. This is so that if one server fails the other takes over the print functions.

Of course I can set up the printer on each server and add each instance of the printer to the relevent workstations. But this would mean the user manually switching there default printer from one server to another.

I'm trying to find out if MS or another provider does a 'name space' service for printers? we currently use this with file replication to great effect and printing is the last loop to sort out!
