This is actually a follow up to my other thread which was that I couldn't get the fax machine working on the POTS line.
I figured out why it was not working. I have 4 numbers and 1 of them is the main #.
So I gave the fax an non main number and it wouldn't work right. I gave for example 222-2222. I also tried 333-3333, 444-4444, no work. I even separate them into different group ID. But when I gave the fax the main # 111-1111, it works and all other # works also even though I didn't even set those # as fax!

111-1111 = main
222-2222 = fax
333-3333 = not used
444-4444 = not used

Basically any changes made to 111-1111 will affect other numbers as well. Any changed made to other than 111-1111 has no effect. What do you guys think?

Honestly.... that you don't know what you're doing :)

Do you actually own the numbers you are talking about? You can't just invent a number in Incoming Call Route and expect it to work, you actually need to own that number from the network/provider. (I think you know this but making sure)
If you do own the DID/DDI number then it needs to be in the same Incoming line group as the main number in your ICR entry, you only put analogue lines in their own group but even then it still needs to match the setting in the line itself.

Sorry got mixed up with another post

If these are analogue lines then you need to put them in their own incoming line group, no entries are made in the settings other than the destination, that's it.

Are you sure they are numbered as you think? Often people have multiple lines all tied to the same number or get the line numbers mixed up while connecting them to the system :)

Also a single analogue line can only have one number, unlike ISDN/SIP you cannot route calls from different numbers, they don't work like that. So if you have 4 lines and 4 numbers then each line has it's own number, the calls for 1111111 will not be presented on any other line :)
