1 LOGGER 2 CLS's
Is it possible to have 2 CLS's connected to 1 digital logger V8.8.
Cls's will be as follows:CLS1 ver 8.8 ericsson md110 switch driver(applink). CLS2 ver 8.9 ericsson md110 switch driver Genesys.
Recording channels are spread amongst logger some will be genesys others normal extns. System is total recording extn side. Also storage centre will need to store calls from both sources what is required to permit. Storage centre ver 8.8

I requested a design like this for redundancy and it was an additional 30k for the 2nd CLS. They said they never do designs like this because the CLS "never goes down" - they said they have only one client with this - some bank or brokerage firm with thousands of Trunk side recorded lines.

If CLS is down, then logger will still record channel side and you loose the agent ID/phone number detail.

NICE does offer a clustering solution (it's a brokerage in NY that has it). However, it's not what Davy247 is looking for. He said he has two different "switches" connecting to it (the Ericcson and a Genesys).

Is the Genesys running off the same Ericcson or is it off another switch entirely? You should be able to have both drivers on there if it's off the same switch.

Alternately, if you have them on two different switches, and it's a station side logger you can probably get away with mapping just the channels that belong to the switch you're on, and leaving the others blank. (of course this is in theory and hasn't been tested but worth a shot if you already have the hardware in place).
