hi all,
for now im trying to connect my work network to the internet, for this i have a linux router properly configured in the middle of my work networks(i'll call it myrouter in forward), It has a 1 Gbit NIC, which is the one i'll connect to another linux box(dfgateway) beetween "myrouter" and the Internet. I must confess "dfgateway" will use only 1Mbit NICs (both sides, internal and the Internet) So my networks will have to pass through "myrouter" (which is properly configured) and my gateway "dfgateway" so they will have access to the internet.
Being trying to make this work but no luck. Do you guys think the problem is using 2 NICs with different speeds beetwen "myrouter" and "dfgateway"? or it doesnt have anything to do with this problem?
by the way, "myrouter" is using CheckPoint FP3 and "dfgateway" only iptables. to make it work i openned all ports, n checking logs there are 1-way packets going forward but no one goes back to my clients.
Thanx in advance folks i hope you can help me plz
