Umm ... I'm just wondering if anyone out there has a one floppy recovery disk with support for NTFS5 and Parallel Port Zip, and if possible networking support.

Some of out latest machines into the building have come in with Win2K on them (shudder) but they work instruments ... one of them failed in 3 days, and the only thing i had that could read the disk was a linux disk with NTFS5 Support (NT Password changer) but no networking or scsi/ppa support so that i couldn't have got any data off them.

Cheers.

Off the top of my head, I would suggest that for the networking portion of the question, you go to and get yourself a boot disk with networking enabled. For the ntfs portion (this is what I did with a win98 disk), go to and get ntfsdos, which provides read only (in the shareware version) access to ntfs from dos. Now put the ntfsdos executable on your new bootdisk, fiddle with autoexec.bat to load it when the boot disk starts, which isn't hard, and hopefully your question is solved. BTW, hopefully someone else can help with the scsi driver part of the question, cuz I can't.
