Gentleman,

I have 1 did "ring no answer" when I have it configured on a device or when i have it deleted.other did's around the same number range ring thru no problem. typically on a deleted device I get the carrier message "number not in service". I have opened a ticket with XO to troubleshoot from their end. I have also reviewed the status of all my trunks and they look good. any ideas??????

Watch a debug on your gateway and see if the call is being delivered to it. Since it's a DID, I assume you have a PRI, run 'debug isdn q931' You should be able to determine from this and the CCM trace files what is happening.

excellent pondscum :) thanks for the tip. I will explore more when I have the opportunity. I have to get with my colleague to look at the ports on the router.

Ok here is the deal. First off I inherited this setup i did not implement it. there is a prologix with a tie to the call manager. prologix has a pri directly to it.i have several pri in several trunk groups into my CM (technically into a 6509). I am reverse engineering the architechture on a daily basis, needless to say all documentation provided to me is worthless. Somehow when he configured the DID on one of his devices(in the prologix) he pulled it from my 7960. XO provisioned it down my trunk group and fixed it. we also deleted the config in the prologix. There must be some kind of pass thru. Dang I hope that made sense. Thanx
