1-2-3 Macro using only half of processor

I'm trying to increase the speed of a Lotus 1-2-3 Macro. We had a special PC built for a real workhorse macro that runs for 30 days (yes, DAYS). It's for insurance actuaries. Anyway, we checked the processor and it only runs at 50% of the processor. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change that tells 1-2-3 to use more of the processor?

I don't know the direct solution to your problem, but I'd love to know what a macro that runs for days does and how it does it. I'd like to think that such a process could be simplified. (I'd be willing to try.)
