I've worked on a lot of 8x24's, but this is the first 0x32 I am working on. I have a 0x32 with (2) 4-port DID phone line cards installed.

I Need to be able to transfer a call to an external number. I can't seem to get it to work. Question 1 - is there a way to make the Norstar send a "Flash" to the phone line? If so, they can continue to dump calls to their CLEC without issue.

Second, I can not seem to get the system to let me transfer to an external#. They are using 6 lines, 001-004, and 025-026. I tried to set it up like so: Add the 6 lines to Pool A, and give set 24 permission on Pool A. Use 9 as the external Dial code. It's not working. If I pick up an intercom line and hit 9, it says No Line Selected. Any help?

Do you mean 4 port Clid cards (caller id)?
what does it say on the co card on the top.

Are the DID trunk cards in a Trunk Module? DID cards cannot be installed in the KSU. Re-post with further info on your system configuration, software, and other details

As far as the transfer goes, you have to be running 4.1 software or higher.
Need more spec's on your system.

To do a 'flash' to a trunk, you would use the 'link' feature. (I haven't programmed a norstar in years, so I don't remember the code...) That's how you'd do a 'centrex' transfer, using the 'transfer' feature from the telco on the trunk. No special software required.

atzcs,

You must set the Pool Code to 9 even though the external access code is 9. You will find pool codes in 'access codes' which is in 'system programming'. Otherwise here are two ways to approach external call transfer when done manually;

Call comes in;
Place call on hold;
Get new dial tone (line button, dial 9 etc);
dial new number;
Press F3 (or Conf);
Press held line;
Press F71 (or 'Transfer'); and
Rls

The act of pressing transfer is the final act that will disconnect you and allow the two external lines to talk.

If you have three way calling or centrex transfer from your telco, you may use a slightly different method;

Call comes in;
Dial F71 (or Link);
Dial tone will be returned;
Dial new number;
Press F71;
Rls
