I have an 0x32 with two LS/DS Cards installed with six loop start lines. If the office answers the call and just hangs up, the line will release properly. If the call routes to Flash either by transfering to a mailbox or the AA answers, the lines will not release immediately (shows "In Use" on the telephones) and it either takes 3-5 mins or sometimes the system has to be reset to release the line. I've gone through the programming for each line and they all are set for "Trunk Mode: Super". I thougt this took care of this type of problem but not in this case. The lines are from an RBOC in Texas (SBC) and riding in on copper (No electronics, channel bank or Integrated access device). Has anyone dealt with this and has the insite as to what could be causing the problem? The system has been in for 4 years and this just started??

Thanks!

does the SBC line actually provide the supervision?

it doesnt make any difference if your setting is super and hte line is actually not ... it is a feature to be turned on or off and very few cases the CO leaves it off

Before I submitted this post I actually issued a ticket to SBC asking the same question. I have experienced this type of problem working with CLECS that installed electronics onprem and had to request supervision. This is my first time having this with a LEC. Hopefully I'll know shortly. Thanks for the response!

I am having a very difficult time with this issue. SBC has reported that they have DS on all POTS lines and that the problem is in the telephone system. I did find that this building is fiber fed and as electronics in the basement (RT/Remote Terminal site). Does anyone know if the LEC uses fiber mux equipment into a building, if they have to set up the POTS cards for DS? I've had this problem with Channel Banks and IADs used by CLECS but never with the LEC?? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
