0x17 - Data error

Hello everyone

when i run a full backup i get this error 0x17 - Data error (cyclic redundancy check)and the backup stops, i have the latest updates on my veritas 9.1. Does anyone have some idea about this error.

I think that this may have something to do with the tape drive that you are using. See if the manufacture has a utility that will test read and write.

I had this same problem with a sony auto loader.
