.08.p 00 0....8..0..? Portmaster 2e

Hi,

I am not sure if I should be posting this here or not. When I did a search for portmaster, there wasn't a match.

A few days ago I purchased very cheaply a Portmaster 2e, after a finally getting a console cable, all I get is (what seems to me) is rubish. Like ".08.p 00 0....8..0..?"

I am not sure what to make of it or where to go from here. I have been doing research, but so far no such luck.

Any suggestions or ideas are welcome,

Your communication parameters aren't right. They should be

9600 baud
8 bit
No parity
1 stop bit
using xon/xoff for handshake.

Also, the DIP switches must be set correctly to use the console port.
