I install a new unformatted translation card but still get this error. Any ideas? Legend R3 in KEY mode.

When you insert it, does the little Button pop out?

You should feel it kinda' resist the last 1/8th of an inch or so, as that button comes out.

You may also want to check and make sure the little switch on the end of the card is not in the write protect position.

Try flipping the card, some of the backup cards go in right-side up in one processor,a nd upside down in another. As it has been said, the last bit of "push" should get some resistance, then the eject button will pop out.

Yes, the backup card did need to go upside down. The system did not ask me to format it, but did write a backup. I still have the 'ABK card not installed' when in standard SPM. I am wondering if the processor needs to be replaced with this system. I am also getting a number of 'command buffer full' errors.

Thank you all for the advice.
