I have a dumb question and a software question. The dumb one first. From the Telcos smart jack to the 032 T1 card is the cable a crossover cable or a standard computer patch cord? Now the sofware question.Everywhere I read there seems to be a problem with 6.1 and T1,is there a similar problem with the earlier 6.0 version? Thanks Ben

The first question isn't so dumb. On a standard T-1 or PRI, the patch cord should be standard 568 A or B, using pins 1,2 and 4,5. A lot of "VOIP" PRI's, generated by a router on site require a T-1 crossover cable. Terminate one end 568B, and on the other, swap pin 1&5, and pin 2&4.

The second question- if you're using pre-6.1MR, give it a shot. If you have trouble, be prepared to upgrade to 7.1.
